Film...and the new Mamiya!

I brought along my new Mamiya medium format film camera along on my adventures this last month! When I took the film in to get developed, I realized that I was soooooo excited to see what I had created! There is something VERY special about film - and the process of WAITING for your images! This was also the first time I used this camera, so it was a test to see how well it worked - and I am in LOVE with this camera! Seriously, it's so cool!

I'm obsessed with this image! This girl looked back at the PERFECT moment - I'm in LOVE!

Shoot film, it is so refreshing!

Happy New Year and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

This new years eve was very special! My grandmother turned 90 years old!!!! 9-0! That's CRAZY! We all went out for dinner to celebrate and you could just tell she was having the time of her life - and she is looking AMAZING for 90 years! (Good genes, I hope I get those!;0) Grandma is not only 'Grandma' to me, but to everyone who knows her, so - WISH HER A HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I hope everyone had a ROCKIN' New Years! I'm sooooo excited for 2009 - it's going to be HUUUUUGE! eliesa

L.A. Street Photos!

This past weekend, I traveled to Los Angeles to shoot a wedding with Jeffrey Lawler of JNP Studios! We spent the night before the wedding walking the streets of L.A. and here are some random shots!

Bumper Riding!

They call it bumper riding - and it is SO. MUCH. FUN! I went to Whistler this last week to go snowboarding and there was NO snow! Seriously...the rest of the pacific northwest got heaps and heaps of snow. Whistler had none. So, we brought it back to the city and had the best riding on the streets! I've never done this before, but it was SO much fun! Here are a few sweet shots!

I'm now on my way to Los Angeles to shoot an AMAZING wedding! I hope everyone had a VERY happy holiday!

Oh Christmas Tree!

I'm out west! Woo hoo! I decided to take a mini-holiday before shooting in LA after Christmas and then back to Minneapolis to really focus on some business things for 2009! Today's adventure was to find the perfect Christmas tree in the mountains! We found it!

Here is a silly little clip from the 5D MarkII video...I don't have the Juddster here to make me a 'pro' video, so this was what I could whip up on my own (And yes, I did forget to turn on the sound and yes it looks shitty compared to what the 5D video really looks like!) BUT! I think it's hilarious...

Blog LOOOOVE!

Oh, this is just TOO FUNNY to not blog about! My good friends, Ral and Danelle of RAD Studios up in Canada are doing this super cool thing on their blog where they blog about their favorite things! Well, apparently I am one of them! Woo Hooo! They wrote the nicest thing about me!

"We are already blown away with fantastic photographers here in Vancouver, but being able to travel for our photography we have met other artists of our craft around the world. There is one particular photographer we have become great friends with...Eliesa of Photogen-inc.

We first met her in Vegas at WPPI last year and we instantly hit it off. Eliesa has THE best energy, personality and charisma. She is fn to hang around with and time just passes by. She has made a couple of trips to Vancouver and in that time, we have had some giant sushi, great crepe's, super duper brunch, and a super deluxe photoshoot with one of our couples.

This was a great year for her as well! She has a brand new studio, has smokin hot images, fantasmicly new blog, and winning blu domain girl of the year!

We can't wait to see you again!

The Coolest Little Surprise!

AHHHH!!!!! I HEART my fans! I mean seriously, I have THE BEST blog followers EVER!!!! Today, I checked the mail and I received the COOLEST little note, congratulating me on the new blog! HOW NICE! ANDDDDDDDDDD to make it even BETTER, Patricia sent two little hasselblad pins along as well! I'm a TOTAL geek about little gadgets and gizmos like this, so it TOTALLY made my day - no week! THANK YOU!!!!

We have added a little 'Wall of Fame' in the studio with all of the cards, photos and fun little inspiring things we receive from our clients! Patricia's note has TOTALLY earned a spot! 

The  response to the new blog has been PHENOMENAL!!!! We have had some of the biggest blog days EVER at Photogen Inc and thank you all SO much for the nice comments and e-mails you have sent my way! I am passionate about photography, but also passionate about all of the love I receive from my supporters! Photogen Inc would not be what it is with out all of YOU, so THANK YOU!!!!!!
