Minnesota Luxury Summer Wedding

Married! // Adam + Tim Part 2

Surprise and delight! Shock and awe! These are just some of the words that kept circulating the room during the entire day of Tim and Adam’s wedding. It was a day rooted in love, no matter how many cool things were around the corner, which made the day feel completely grounded and special, too. If you haven’t checked out Part 1 of Adam + Tim’s blog post, I encourage you to do so! The weekend kicked off with an incredible rehearsal dinner experience and the wedding day was a continuation of all food-inspired-fun.

Gretchen Culver of Rocket Science Events brought a grand vision to life for Tim and Adam. Together with an all-star-list of carpenters, vendors, AV, lighting, musicians and serving staff, she designed two spaces. One that brought together a beautiful intimate ceremony where Adam and Tim read their own vows (and I swear there wasn’t a dry eye in the room) to a completely transformed restaurant-inspired space for the reception. This was the room flip of all room flips. Tim and Adam wanted to carry on the theme of hospitality for their guests - with surprises along the way. After their ceremony, guests were welcomed into cocktail hour by the fabulous Minneapolis drag queen herself, Luna Muse. Custom pull tabs, prizes, an oyster shucker and roaming violinists entertained the crowd while down below people were hard at work installing chandeliers, building custom tables and bringing in beautiful floral. When it was time to eat, guests were welcomed by name by Gretchen and her team where they were then sat individually at their tables. Wow. What a stage to set.

Adam and Tim worked with the team a chefs at D’amico Catering to create a custom menu for the night. What began with the chef’s personal salt & pepper chicken wings and mini Coors lights, each course opened another level of the culinary journey. I also loved the menus, which were designed by Fig.2 Design that kept the theme of the pull tabs rolling. Guests kept a sweet souvenir from the night with custom pottery from Mexico and everyone danced the night away. I particularly loved Adam and Tim’s wardrobe change that kept the energy high and the hits coming on the dance floor!

Above all, what made this day so special was seeing the connection and happiness that absolutely every guest had for Adam and Tim. Everyone is thrilled for them and want to fully celebrate their love.

Adam and Tim, I am so thankful to be a part of your wedding day and to witness your love. You truly have inspired us all.

LOVEe

Married! // Adam + Tim Part 1

Adam and Tim are pure magic. Truly, for everyone in their life and to everyone they meet, they inspire us all! Both Adam and Tim have a way of seeing you, of genuinely appreciating your talent and they are also the greatest cheerleaders to those they believe in. As their wedding photographer, I have had the sincere pleasure of working with Adam and Tim towards their wedding weekend for the last year and I can honestly say that the gratitude they had for every single vendor involved in their weekend was off the charts. They loved everyone who worked to make their day happen - from the guests who flew in, to their parents, to the server who filled the water glasses - Tim and Adam approached their wedding in a way that I can only say was pure magic for us all!

Adam and Tim are also foodies. To their core, they love to entertain, they believe in hospitality and looooooove good food. This is something we definitely have in common and was also the theme for their whole weekend. They wanted to treat their guests to an entire culinary experience - and it was perfect! Their rehearsal dinner took place at Spoon and Stable, which is a cornerstone and innovative restaurant for our Minneapolis community. It’s also one of Adam and Tim’s favorite places to dine. They have longtime been inspired by Chef Gavin Kaysen and his food. Together with his incredible staff at Soigné Hospitality (Shout out to Nicola, Jessi and Chef Chris Nye!), they all worked to plan the perfect rehearsal dinner experience that also aligned with Gretchen Culver’s (their amazing wedding planner) vision.

The guests were welcomed into a restaurant filled with flowers from Kindred Blooms and custom printed branding + details. As the evening began, we snuck away for a little mini photo session in the rain, along with a private champagne moment over at Demi, another one of Kaysen’s restaurants, that holds a special place in Adam and Tim’s heart. The evening was filled with beautiful moments, speeches, wine, cocktails - and of course food! Enjoy Part 1 from Tim and Adam’s wedding weekend - there’s more to come!

Married! // Harper + Trey Part 2

The wedding day has arrived! Harper and Trey’s wedding took place at Abella Farm Weddings and Events and on quite possibly the hottest day of the summer! The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. Amy Zaroff Events and Design brought in the best of the best vendors to make this day everything that Harper and Trey could have dreamed of! It spoke to both of them - a small town meets the big city! What I loved about Harper and Trey is how thoughtful they were in planning this wedding for their guests. There were fun activities while everyone was getting ready, a popcorn and lemonade refreshment as guests arrived and one of the best bands in the country for entertainment. They focused on bold colors, including the entire spectrum of the rainbow. They wanted their day to be filled with joy, modern art design and the great Midwest.

The absolute best part of the day though was hearing Harper and Trey read their vows to one another. They are a couple who inspires everyone around them with their love. I think everyone learned more about Harper and Trey through their vows as well. Whether it was their story or how they support one another in their relationship, we all left the ceremony so excited for these two and their marriage!

I meantioned this in Part 1 of their blog post, but this is officially the longest blog post I’ve ever done! They day was filled with so many moments, I felt it deserved this many images. So, without further adieu, enjoy Harper + Trey’s wedding!

Married! // Harper + Trey Part 1

Harper and Trey’s wedding was the event of the summer for all of their family and friends. The couple chose to come back to Minnesota, where Trey grew up and his family has roots! Harper and Trey live in Brooklyn and they were joined by friends and family who traveled from across the world to experience the Midwest. It was a weekend full of fun! From the welcome drinks to the Minnesota State Fair, an incredible rehearsal dinner and then a beautiful modern-art-meets-farm wedding, the weekend brought so many memory-making events for their guests.

Let’s begin with the rehearsal dinner. This gorgeous evening took place on the terrace at the Walker Art Center. With the iconic Cherry and Spoon in the background, Harper and Trey hosted an incredible night filled with some of the best speeches. I loved how throughout the night, Harper and Trey would check in on one another. It might have been just a soft touch or a glance from across the room, but they were always making sure the other felt loved and seen. This was a theme throughout the weekend and the chatter over how perfect these two are for one another was always buzzing about the room.

Another moment that I loved was the sunset. Harper’s late Grandmother always referenced a sunset as a way that she would make her presence known. During dinner the overcast skies parted and a gorgeous, glowing pink sunset appeared that warmed the hearts of so many. Love felt close on this night!

Full disclosure - this wedding might be the longest blog post I’ve ever posted! This wedding is worthy of the long scroll. While the wedding photos will come along in Part 2 of this post, below are some wonderful details and moments from Harper + Trey’s Rehearsal Dinner.

Married! // Alyssa + Clarke

Alyssa and Clarke are a couple who embraces life and love to the fullest! Whether it is their careers, travel, family or friends, they always go big and their wedding was a true reflection of their love and passion for life! One thing I loved about their day was that their close friends surprised them by showing up wedding-party-ready. The couple wasn’t going to have a wedding party, but their friends knew they would appreciate the impromptu change of plans! All of the women showed up in fabulous red attire and the guys were as dapper as ever!

Alyssa and Clarke’s wedding took place on a perfect summer day at The Beach Club. Julia LaCroix transported the guests with her design through a series of rooms with lush, white florals throughout. To add a personal touch, the couple’s wedding cake was made up of classic story books. This was a nod to their last name, Story, and also their own adventures in life.

Congratulations to Alyssa, Clarke and their families. It was a pleasure to be a part of your day!
